2026.10.21 Commemorative Lecture at the Launch of NYCU/Kyushu University Joint Campus

  Today marked the memorable launch of the NYCU/Kyushu University Joint Campus. Prof. Samukawa was filled with deep gratitude to Professor Masaharu Shiratani, Vice President and Library Director of Kyushu University, for inviting him to serve as a visiting professor for this commemorative lecture series.
  It was a true privilege to deliver a two-hour lecture on “Taiwan’s Semiconductor Ecosystem and the Development of Highly Skilled Talent,” which was followed by an hour of wonderfully candid and in-depth discussions with leaders from industry, government, and academia in the Kyushu region.
  This was a genuinely rewarding and beautiful experience. He is especially heartened that we were able to share a meaningful sense of urgency regarding the current landscape in Japan. The joint campus with Kyushu University is now set to begin, which will foster exchanges among faculty and students.

2026.10.21 陽明交大・九州大学ジョイントキャンパス開設記念講演

    本日、国立陽明交通大学（NYCU）と九州大学のジョイントキャンパスが記念すべき開設の日を迎えました。本記念講演の客員教授としてお招きいただいた九州大学の白谷正治副学長（兼附属図書館長）に対し、深く感謝申し上げます。

　「台湾の半導体エコシステムと高度専門人材の育成」と題した2時間の講演を行い、その後、九州地域の産官学のリーダーの皆様と1時間にわたり率直かつ踏み込んだディスカッションを行うことができ、大変光栄な機会となりました。

　非常に有意義で素晴らしい経験となるとともに、日本の現状に対する重要な危機感を皆様と共有できたことを、大変心強く感じております。九州大学とのジョイントキャンパスがいよいよ始動し、今後は教員や学生間の交流が促進されていくことになります。
